【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardprovidesguidancefortheselection,useandinterpretationofresultsfromapplicationofbiologicalindicatorswhenusedinthedevelopment,validationandroutinemonitoringofsterilizationprocesses.ThisInternationalStandardappliestobiologicalindicatorsforwhichInternationalStandardsexist.NOTE1See,forexample,theISO11138series.NOTE2ThegeneralinformationprovidedinthisInternationalStandardcanhaveusefulapplicationforprocessesandbiologicalindicatorsnotcurrentlyaddressedbyexistingInternationalStandards,e.g.,newanddevelopingsterilizationprocesses.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotconsiderthoseprocessesthatrelysolelyonphysicalremovalofmicroorganisms,e.g.,filtration.ThisInternationalStandardisnotintendedtoapplytocombinationprocessesusing,forexample,washerdisinfectorsorflushingandsteamingofpipelines.ThisInternationalStandardisnotintendedtoapplytoliquidsterilizationprocesses.
