【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesgenericcablingthatsupportsawiderangeofcommunicationsservicesincludingautomation,processcontrolandmonitoringapplicationsforusewithinindustrialpremisescomprisingsingleormultiplebuildingsonacampus.Itcoversbalancedcablingandopticalfibrecabling.ThisEuropeanStandardisbaseduponandreferencestherequirementsofEN50173-1.ThisEuropeanStandardcontainsadditionalrequirementsthatareappropriatetoindustrialpremisesinwhichthemaximumdistanceoverwhichcommunicationsserviceshavetobedistributedis10000m.TheprinciplesofthisEuropeanStandardmayalsobeappliedtoinstallationsthatdonotfallwithinthisrange.InadditiontotherequirementsofEN50173-1,thisEuropeanStandardspecifies:a)amodifiedstructureandconfigurationforgenericcablingwithinindustrialpremisesinwhichinformationtechnologyapplicationsareusedtosupportprocessmonitoringandcontrolfunctions;b)implementationoptions;c)additionalrequirementsthatreflecttherangeofoperatingenvironmentswithinindustrialpremises.Safety(electricalsafetyandprotection,opticalpower,fire,etc.)andelectromagneticcompatibility(EMC)requirementsareoutsidethescopeofthisEuropeanStandardandarecoveredbyotherStandardsandregulations.However,informationgiveninthisEuropeanStandardmaybeofassistanceinmeetingtheseStandardsandregulations.
