【摘要】:ThisStandardisintendedtoprovideallusers(manufacturers,distributors,designandconfiguration,partscontrol.inventorycontrol,testandmaintenancefunctions)withthecapabilitytoidentifyexternallythreaded,internallythreaded,andnonthreadedfastenerproductsbyapreselectedorderofcodingasspecifiedherein.TheB18PINisaself-containedcode,withdistinctidentificationlinkagetoindividualASMEB18fastenerproductstandards.ThePINcodeconceptprovidesfordirecttraceabilitybacktotheapplicableB18productstandard.IncaseofconflictwiththisdocumentandtheB18productstandard,theB18productstandardshalltakeprecedence.ThisStandardisnotintendedforuseasasubstituteforthecorrectusageoftheB18standardsforfastenerselectionandspecification.ThePINcodeisintendedasanalternativetotheplaintextproductcalloutasprescribedintheDesignationorOrderingsectionofthesourceB18productstandard.TheexistenceofaPINcodeforB18fastenerdescriptionisnotintendedtoimplythatallproductsdescribedareavailable.
