【摘要】:1.1Thissafetyspecificationestablishesrequirementsfordevicesintendedtoaddresstheriskofinjuryanddeathassociatedwithaccidentalfallsfromwindowsbychildrenfiveyearsoldandyounger.1.2Thissafetyspecificationappliesonlytowindowfallpreventiondevicesthataretobeusedonwindowsthatarenotintendedforescape(egress)andrescue(ingress).Note1ProvisionalSafetySpecificationPS120addresseswindowfallpreventiondevices(releasable)forwindowsintendedforemergencyescapeandrescueandanyotherwindownotcoveredbythisstandard.1.3Thissafetyspecificationappliesonlytodevicesintendedtobeappliedtowindowsinstalledatheightsofmorethan75ft(23m)abovegroundlevelinmultiplefamilydwellingbuildings.Thissafetyspecificationisnotintendedtoapplytowindowsbelow75ft(23m)becauseallwindowsbelow75ft(23m)thatareoperablecouldbeusedasapossiblesecondarymeansofescape.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallsafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIvaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.
