【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesaguideforevaluatingthemoldabilityofthermosettingmoldingpowders.Thistestmethoddoesnotnecessarilydenotethatthemoldingbehaviorofdifferentmaterialswillbealikeandtrialsmaybenecessarytoestablishtheappropriatemoldingindexforeachmaterialinquestion.Thesensitivityofthistestdiminisheswhenthemoldingpressureisdecreasedbelow5.3MPa(764psi),sopressureslowerthanthisarenotordinarilyrecommended.Thisisduetothefrictionofmovingpartsandtheinsensitivityofthepressureswitchactuatingthetimerattheselowpressures.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofthemoldingindex(plasticity)ofthermosettingplasticsranginginflowfromsofttostiffbyselectionofappropriatemoldingpressureswithintherangefrom3.7to36.5MPa(530to5300psi).1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothistestmethod.
