【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthehardgrovegrindabilityindex(HGI)ofthosepetroleumcokesthatcontainnodedustingadditive.TheprocedureforthistestmethodisthesameasinTestMethodD409.SectionsofthistestmethodcontainthesignificanceanduseoftheHGIofpetroleumcoke,preliminarysamplepreparationprocedures,andprocedureandprecisionandbiasdataspecifictopetroleumcoke.Note1-Thesizeconsistency(particlesizedistribution)offluidpetroleumcokeisgenerally100%passinga6.73mm(No.3)sieveandgreaterthan80%passinga2.00mm(No.10)sieve.Muchoffluidcokeswillpassa0.59mm(No.30)sieve.BecauseofthisfinenesstheHGIvalueisrelatedtothecoarserparticlesinfluidcokeandlargesamplesarerequiredtopreparesufficientmaterialofthecorrectparticlesizeforTestMethodD409.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandardandareusedinthistestmethodforallvaluesexceptthehardgrovegrindabilityindex,whichisunitless.Thevaluesinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
