【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverspolyethylene(PE)pipemadeindimensionsbasedonoutsidediametersof90mm(3.500in.)andlarger.Threestandardoutsidediametersizingsystemsaredetailed:oneknownastheISOmetricsystem,oneknownastheIPSsystem,andtheotherknownastheDIPSsystem.See5.2.5forguidelinesforspecialsizes.Thepipingisintendedfornewconstructionandinsertionrenewalofoldpipingsystemsusedforthetransportofwater,municipalsewage,domesticsewage,industrialprocessliquids,effluents,slurries,etc.,inbothpressureandnonpressuresystems.Note1-Theusershouldconsultthemanufacturertoensurethatanydamagetothepolyethylenepipecausedbythematerialbeingtransportedwillnotaffecttheservicelifebeyondlimitsacceptabletotheuser.Allpipesproducedunderthisspecificationarepressure-rated.SeeAppendixX5forinformationonpressurerating.Note2-ReferencesandmaterialdescriptionsforPE2406,PE3406,PE3408andmaterialshavingaHDBof1450psihavebeenremovedfromSpecificationF714duetochangesinSpecificationD3350andPPITR-3.Forremoveddesignations,refertopreviouseditionsofSpecificationF714,SpecificationD3350,PPITR-3andPPITR-4.Theremovalofthesematerialsdoesnotaffectpipelinesthatareinservice.SeeNotes9and10.Thisspecificationincludescriteriaforchoiceofrawmaterial,togetherwithperformancerequirementsandtestmethodsfordeterminingconformancewiththerequirements.Quality-controlmeasuresaretobetakenbymanufacturers.SeeAppendixX4forgeneralinformationonqualitycontrol.Inrefereedecisions,theSIunitsshallbeusedformetric-sizedpipeandinch-poundunitsforpipesizedintheIPSsystem(ANSIB36.10)andDIPSsystem.Inallcases,thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section6,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
